Community Engagement Officer
What we are looking for
Bude Climate Partnership is seeking to employ a part-time Community Engagement Officer to help us involve residents, businesses and visitors in our innovative and ground-breaking projects in the wider Bude area.
This 0.5 role for 17.5 hours per week has a £14,000 (£28,000 full-time equivalent) salary with 3% pension contribution and 25 days leave (+ bank holidays) pro rata. It is open to flexible working arrangements such as flexitime.
We will also consider applications from candidates who want to combine this role with one of our Sustainable Tourism Project Assistant positions to create a full-time role that pays £28,000 for a 35-hour week. For details, please see the separate advertisement.
Working as part of our National Lottery-funded Resilient Bude project, the roles’ primary purpose is to lead on the community engagement activities of all our projects and to assist our community and visitors in developing resilience against climate change.
This exciting opportunity to work on this trailblazing project needs someone who is a friendly team player with excellent interpersonal skills and initiative. They need to be inventive, flexible, collaborative, passionate about helping their community, and committed to making a lasting contribution to climate action.
You’ll work across all our projects, ranging from sustainable tourism and community growing to a project that helps our community make crucial decisions about climate adaptation.
